Wedge fitting is where we dial in the scoring area of the of your bag – if you can get the wedges right then you’ve got the best tools at hand to turn three shots into two around the greens.
We begin a wedge fitting by analysing your existing wedges using a Trackman 4 launch monitor. We look at many data points such as club length, loft, lie, face angle & digital swing weight, which all together provide a foundational data benchmark so we know what we’re starting with, then we fit your new wedges.
Our fitters also take the time to understand the types of shots you like to play and whether you play your golf primarily on softer, inland courses or play your golf on firmer links-like courses.
Your short game requires a wide range of shot-making, from full wedges to the most delicate flop and chip shots, so if the setup’s wrong it can be difficult to get the control you need.
We fit the loft, weight and balance of each club to optimise ball strike and control, and with wedges we have more tools at our disposal from bounce, sole shape and grinds to specify in real detail what’s going to give you the best short game performance.
And with over 100 steel and graphite shafts to test in combination with heads from all the wedge manufacturers, there is no greater selection of wedge configurations in Europe.
