During a full bag fitting, we look across the whole bag, so everything from driver through to your wedges.
A key focus area is to balance up the performance levels within the whole set and identify the best way that we can set the complete bag up for you.
We begin the fitting by analysing your existing equipment using a Trackman 4 launch monitor. We look at many data points such as club length, loft and lie, face angle & digital swing weight, which all together provides a foundational data benchmark so we know what we’re starting with, then we find the best clubs for you.
We look at the irons first and look at how to get the balanced performance from the set, then we go up to driver and work our way back through the distances towards the irons to make sure we get the gapping right and then finally finish up with the wedges to ensure your scoring clubs have the full range of distances covered.
A full bag fitting allows a complete solution to be looked at rather than just a partial one, always bearing in mind that completely new clubs may not be the answer – we can re-shaft existing club heads as well as fit for a completely new set.
A full bag fitting instills confidence because you know your whole bag is set up correctly and has been completely optimised for your game. From an equipment perspective, nothing has been left to chance and it’s really just down to what you’re able to do with your swing from there.
When conducting a full bag fitting, as well as examining your clubs, we also carefully assess contributing factors such as injury or physical limitations, and how they may be affecting your performance. If we think there are alternative Precision Golf services that may be of benefit, we will talk to you about this during your fitting session.
No. You’re not obliged to proceed with any of our recommendations. You may choose to proceed with all or some of the bag according to where you see most benefit for your game.
No. Hitting will be intermittent throughout the session and limited to approximately 100 shots to ensure your swing doesn’t tire. You’ll spend much of the session discussing with your fitter your goals and needs, how each club option feels and the data that we capture.
It is preferable to bring your existing equipment with you. Even if you intend to purchase completely new equipment, we would use data from your current clubs to set a performance benchmark from which to improve. We may also recommend re-shafts for your existing heads.
