The aim of a Precision driver fitting is to maximise distance, optimise ball flight and increase accuracy without sacrificing consistency.
We begin the driver fitting by looking at how you hit your existing driver using a Trackman 4 launch monitor, where we look at many data points such as club length, loft, lie & digital swing weight.
All of which together provide a foundational data benchmark so we know what we’re starting with, then we find the best driver for you to help you play your best golf yet.
With the driver there is a natural focus on distance – which means optimising ball speed, launch angle, flight profile and spin. However it’s not just about distance, we also manage forgiveness to reduce dispersion and hit more fairways.
We’ve got all the latest driver heads, both right and left handed, and over 500 shafts so we can fit the perfect combination to suit your strike pattern amd flight performance.
For a pro, the driver is about raw distance but in reality, consistently being on the fairways is a huge gain for most amateurs.
A Precision driver fitting will bring reliability and confidence to your driving and enable you to stand on any tee with confidence.
The club head and shaft are equally important. The shaft is most important for general timing and swing synchronisation with an affect on feel of the club and the head is most important for managing ball flight (launch and spin) and off-centre performance based on your strike pattern. One cannot make up for the other and are equally as important.
All heads and shafts that we stock start as options, however we are quickly able to narrow the selection down for both head and shaft based on the flight profile you need and the weight that is suitable for you.
This way we can dial in on the best outcome rather than wasting unnecessary time and energy hitting options that are irrelevant.
At Precision Golf, we’re proud to have an experienced team of club-fitters, all of whom have unsurpassed, in-depth product knowledge in the industry. This allows us to select shafts and heads purely based on promoting optimum performance, rather than offering you the best fit from a limited supply.
When you choose our driver fitting services, you can rest assured that nothing will be left to chance. We will always substantiate any recommendations and potential performance gains with launch monitor data.
We use characteristics such as shaft weight, bend profile, flex and swing weight to our advantage in order to build equipment that will maximise controllable distance off the tee. As an expert custom driver fitting service, we understand that head selection is of equal importance.
Whilst many companies boast their driver models to be the longest or fastest they have ever made, they are all designed with characteristics that might suit golfers differently. Therefore, even if you invest in a top-of-the-range, off-the-rack driver, it may not enhance your game as well as you’d hoped.
Once we have found a shaft that performs optimally, we can test that shaft on any of the latest driver heads, adjusting their loft and face angle accordingly to find you the ultimate specification.
There is no “one-fits-all” driver available on the market – what works for some players, may not for others. The optimum launch angle and spin rate will vary considerably from player to player, depending on how they deliver the clubhead at impact.
We maximise performance by finding the optimum launch and spin for your swing speed and dynamics. We achieve this by testing head/shaft combinations from all leading brands.
A full Woods Fitting comprises a comprehensive assessment of your long game involving all elements of a driver, fairway wood and hybrid fitting.
This involves a detailed analysis of how your current woods are set up, along with discussing your strengths and weaknesses in this part of the bag.
In our Driver Custom Fitting, our aim is for you to achieve maximum distance off the tee with the driver, by optimising ball flight and without giving up accuracy.
A Fairway Wood Fitting will provide you with versatility for use off the tee or turf for more controlled distance gapping.
Finally hybrids will be fitted to bridge the gap between woods and your longest iron for confident shot-making.
A Full woods fitting costs £185 and lasts 2 hours
